The Herriman and Riverton areas of Salt Lake County are literally exploding with growth. This has been one area of the valley that had plenty of available land for development, and most of the valley’s new construction is concentrated here. With a younger demographic, the Herriman/Riverton areas are busting at the seams with families and children. Top rated schools like Herriman High and Copper Mountain middle school draw families with kids, but theres plenty for the adults to do as well. The area is known for its friendly neighborhoods where 4th of July block parties are the norm. This is a place where people who want to be active will find likeminded folks all around. Running trails wind their way through many communities, and its not uncommon to find groups of runners out on a daily basis. Black Rock Reservoir is a cool dip to enjoy in the summer time, and mountain biking in Yellow Fork Canyon is a local favorite. Expansive views of the valley from the Rosecrest subdivision draw those looking for a perch to call home, and the early morning sunrises that showcase the entire Wasatch Range are always awe inspiring. If you’re looking for a sense of community, you’ve found it in Herriman and Riverton.
